Well, six days, as of this writing.
And this post has nothing to do with the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Okay, except for this:
RHPS does, however, share a common element with the subject of this post: music. Specifically, singing. More specifically: karaoke.
For you see, Earthdwellers, we are a scant six days away from an event that will shake the heavens, wobble your legs, and blow your minds - the NYC Karaoke Crawl.
On Saturday, October 2, 2010, people are invited from near and far to take part in revelry, resounding tunes, and ridiculously bad singing in three separate locales. The revolution begins at 8pm at Karaoke One 7, at 29 West 17th Street, between 5th & 6th Avenue. At 10, we're ditching that joint and grooving our way to Planet Rose, 219 Avenue A between 13th & 14th Streets. Finally, at midnight, we hop to our point of termination at Second on Second, at 27 Second Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets.
Of course, if everyone hates or loves a particular place, we may end up moving on early, or not moving on at all. Democracy at its finest, folks.
So come one, come all - everyone's invited, including you (yes, even YOU). You don't need to have met me in person, or even know who I am (though I have to wonder why you're reading this if you don't); if you like karaoke or just want to hang with some excellent people, you're more than welcome.
Like karaoke? Think I'm lame for liking it? Interested in attending? Serenade me in the comments below.
